Bagot Parks Speedway's first year of competition was 1966 and Alan Davidson
raced in the first car event ever conducted. In the following 16 years "Davo"
has missed only one season on the track and during that year was the Track
Announcer.
With the close of Bagot Park Speedway, Davo is the last competitor to
officially race under the green light as a tribute to his continuous dedication
to the sport.
Alan Davidson's Achievements:
- Most consistent driver of the year 1966
- First - N.T. Saloon Car Championship 1967 (First Championship run in
N.T.)
- Third - Sprintcar Championship 1969
- First - Sprintcar Championship 1970 - but lost on a protest for
completing one lap too many in probably the most controversial championship
ever run (officially placed second)
